Can I book officials for my carnival?
Athletics West offers support from Athletics Australia-accredited officials to assist on the day. Whether you need judges, timing staff, or a full team of officials, there are flexible options available to suit your event needs.
To allow enough time to organise the right people, we recommend submitting your request at least 21 days before your carnival.

I need to cancel/reschedule my carnival. What rules apply?
In accordance with the VenuesWest Terms and Conditions, all event cancellations are required in writing and may incur a payment if not cancelled 90 days prior to your scheduled booking. Rescheduling of carnivals due to bad weather may incur a fee. Terms and Conditions can be viewed here.

Can outside food and beverage be brought into the carnival?
VenuesWest has the exclusive right to provide or procure the provision of food and beverages for the whole venue (Clause 1: WA Athletics Stadium Booking Terms and Conditions). On receipt of your carnival booking form, our Catering Team will be in touch with a catering pack to organise your event’s catering needs.

Will marquees be erected on site and available for use?
VenuesWest marquees are not weatherproof. Should the Venue Supervisor feel the weather is too forceful, they will not be erected. Please also note that once these have been erected, they cannot be moved throughout the day. Pegs in the turf are strictly prohibited. Marquees must use water weights or any other weight approved by VenuesWest.

Can I book an alternative date?
Yes, bookings are subject to availability. Schools with established historical bookings will have priority for their original dates.

Can students attended the carnival with face paint and/or coloured hair spray?
No crepe paper face paint or coloured hair spray is permitted at WA Athletics Stadium. Additional cleaning charges will apply.

Am I able to book the venue for my school to train at?
You can book school training if available from 6:00am to 7:00am or between the operational hours visible here.. Student entry and equipment fees apply, if outside operational hours some staff charges may apply.

Am I required to organise first aid for my carnival?
First aid is the responsibility of the school to arrange and is required for the duration of the booking. A school nurse is acceptable. This must be nominated prior to the event in the “booking form”

How can I book the "photo finish" equipment for my carnival?
Please book the photo finish equipment through the “booking form”. To book an operator you will need to contact Athletic West on 6272 0480
